About SLB Fitness

My name is Sam Leatherbarrow and I am the owner and trainer at SLB Fitness.

I’ve been a Personal Trainer since 2017 and before that I was in the Army.

Prior to the Army, I was part of a “step into sports” organisation where we helped those with a variety of disabilities take part in physical activity. Ive also coached gymnastics, football & cricket. 

I currently work with people of all different ages and abilities, from fully able bodied to fibromyalgia and arthritis. No mater what, I can always adapt the coaching to your needs and ability.

It’s not all about weight loss here, there are more important things in life than being a light weight on the scales. 

Whether you want to reduce your aches and pains, get stronger, feel fitter, become more mobile, improved balance, prevent or reverse your Type 2 Diabetes…there is a place for you here.

I can create an exercise programme to suit your needs, discuss what the right nutrition plan is for you and we will work on your sleep, stress and anxiety levels to create a body and mindset that you’re proud of.

Why Listen To Me?

See, I grew up around family and friends who smoked, drank far too much, were Type 2 Diabetic and morbidly obese, resulting in many health issues.

They tried diets, fat burning pills, waist trainers and may other so called quick fixes that just didn’t work…

From punishing levels of exercise to flat-out eating disorders that made their life exhausting.

I also lost my Mum due to poor health choices, smoking and drinking.

Since then, I’ve wanted to help as many people as I can to improve their health and fitness in a way that compliments the life they want to live.

Which is why I wake up each morning eager to work with people who want to take charge of their health once and for all.
